Critical Reflection
The integrated curriculum captures my interest because it demonstrates student natural learning processes which combine exploration and play with cross-domain idea connections. Through designing inquiry-based activities I excel at creating interdisciplinary connections which inspire curiosity in learners. The planning of a basic nature walk transforms into a complex undertaking that includes leaf counting alongside color observation followed by tree drawing and written descriptions of observed sceneries. I enjoy combining technological resources with narrative methods by accessing apps that enable children to record their findings and distribute them to their classmates. The approach boost creativity while allowing children to form stronger meaningful relationships with their learning experiences. Therefore I implement learning spaces which make every child feel free to experiment while having a secure environment for failure and multiple attempts at learning—fundamental approaches within both creative education and STEM disciplines. The integrated curriculum enables me to combine school subjects into connected learning packages through approaches that make learning both meaningful and enjoyable yet accessible to all students.
